Greetings, loyal fans. As of this year, 1600 AE will be publishing War of Trinity based on one of many vindication campaigns launched to reclaim the system in 1640 AE, twenty-five years after Myrcalus ascended to the throne after Ghost Emperor's dark reign. The battle over Trinity system was Dominion fighting against Marauders and the Ghost House rebels, which the Dominion won even after their initial deployment force was reduced in half along with elimination of senior leadership. Since then, the War of Trinitatis, or Battles of Trinity, provided influence for the future military on the lessons on flexible command, best use of available materials, and the importance of mobility. Today, the staff of 1600AE is proud to adapt the conflict thirty two years after the battle with blessings of the Dominion Military.
The story will focus on the now-deceased Captain Augustus Lemartes during his time as an Commander of destroyer Edge of Indominar in a Battlegroup sent to Trinitatis System until a devastating ambush by the Marauders left him as highest ranking officer of remaining six warships--a Cruiser and five destroyers--along with two supply ships under his command. Although Dominion lost its initiative in reclamation of the system, the young Commander managed to hold out and secure the objectives before the Dominion claim victory when the relief fleet came three months later. Although many of the citizens--especially Fleet members--knew the war, the new comic will provide the details of the campaign based on Captain Lemartes' accounts and various data taken from military archives.
The release schedule will be one issue per two weeks, starting next week.

Story:
It is the year 1640 AE, which twenty-five years has passed since the Dominion climb out of its decadent dark age when Myrcalus took the throne. Although much work have been done, there are many who still need the light of the Dominion to be relit. One such system without guidance of renewed light of the empire is Trinitatis System, one of the early colonies dating back to the beginning of the Dominion. The three world of Trinitatis, the trinity in ancient Cassian language, which is name after its three worlds: Pyre, Secundus, and Inanis. Due to scorching surface of Pyre and cold rocky crust of Inanis, the planet Secundus was a miracle to the founders yearning for a rare hospitable planet. Soon, the colonists would colonize the planet that later boast three metropolitan regions. Later, Trinitatis system became bustling center of trade and gateway to the frontiers. Misfortune struck as Trinitatis system would fall under the darkness and corruption during the Ghost Emperor's reign. The Maruaders began to demand tribute from the system that further drain away its wealth while the leaders of the system fell into decadence. Centuries of dark age would saw the citizens of Trinitatis System suffer like rest of the Dominion, but the rise of Myrcalus the Vindicator would mark a rebirth of the crumbling Dominion as the Ghost Emperor was vanquished. As soon as the new emperor was coronated, Myrcalus the Vindicator began to refill the Dominion's treasury and rebuild the military before setting the eyes towards reconsolidation over many planets. Trinitatis system along with many vassal and member planets would see the enlightening light of the empire once again as many fleets were launched from Core Worlds. The fleet heading for the Trinitatis system consisted of ten destroyers, three cruisers, and a battleship along with transports loaded with enough men and cargoes to encourage the system back to the Dominion's light until tragedy struck.
Although the Dominion's command structure was reforming during that time, there were still shortfalls in intelligence and no recent communications from systems like Trinitatis. As a result, the fleet headed for Trinitatis system did not expect a Marauder pirates who were well-equipped from extortions and payments from corrupt Highborns. The awaiting Marauders activated the mines before sending in their warships to the stunned Dominion fleet, which all except six warships (five destroyers and a cruiser) were destroyed or captured. Admiral Marcus Solarius fell as the flagship, Imperial Glory, was swarmed by Marauders light ships after its engine was crippled from initial explosion. To make matters worse, the captains of survivng ships were dead or too injured to command except for a young Commander Augustus Lemartes on destroyer Edge of Indominar. In spite of crippled strength and near-annihilation of command structure, all four transports made it out from the massive ambush. Then the surviving officers and their acting superior Commander Lemartes meet on board the Cruiser Tristan's Fortitude for current directions in Trintatis System with few spare resources. The twenty-four year old Lemartes began to look at the ship display of their current location, Inanis the airless ball with only two outposts and few scattered mines. The planet was not ideal but at least it would allow the remaining soldiers and ships to rest. While the scouts showed only a few patrols of Marauders that even their fleet can take out, they only have few time to make repairs and resupply before moving to another position if their scouts discover enemy movements into their area. The fleet will remain mobile in more desperate time, but Inanis will be staging area for scouting and raiding for now. Three days after the remnant fleet came to the system, the situation became relatively calm enough to make discussions on their new objectives in Trinitatis system. They discovered from intelligence wire tappings and informants of Secundus that Marauders have become a mercenary for the corrupt Governor of the system. Though tensions remain between them, both of them managed to ally due to promises of wealth and weapons. In addition, the fleet were too powerful even when the reinforcing fleet arrive. Commander Lemartes and the officers began to think to solve that issue.
The setting for the war room inside Tristan's Fortitude was utilarian with few wall ornamentations, two bust of Cassian officers in two corners each, and a Cassus systems map. The makeshift command staffs were made up of these individuals:
Commander Magnus Alpharex- Mechari Executive Officer of the cruiser Tristan's Fortitude before assuming command after the death of the Captain. Same rank as Commander Lemartes but pass over due to his capability as advisor to latter's charisma.
Lt. Commander Janos Pyrios- Highborn Executive Officer of the destroyer Unending Vigils until the death of his superior that left him unconfident of his commanding ability.
Lt. Commander Victoria Victus- Highborn acting officer to the destroyer Ravok Rage, the Captain was wounded with possibility of return to duty in weeks time but shown herself to be more competant than her superior.
Lt. Commander Lucifer Lysandar- Highborn acting officer to the destroyer Dominus Glory, who took command after the death of Commander but facing doubts by others for his heritage from House Chaul.
Lieutenant Bill Boiler- Lowborn officer in charge of the destroyer Unyielding Will after the hull breach killed both the Commander and Executive Officer, which made him defacto officer in contentions with Highborn suboridnates.
Legion Captain Hika Dreadheart- Leader of the Legionaires attached to the Trinitatis expedition fleet.
The officers all convened at the table while they discuss on their approach to their current objective with their now reduced might against both the Ghost House remnants and the powerful Marauder fleet. One action—given by Janos—was to launch a raid to Mons' orbital station for supplies and capture possible unattended ships. Captain Dreadheart objected on the insufficient manpower to launch an attack without risk of heavy losses. However, the conflict occurs when Victoria approved of Janos' actions in a sense of better yield while Boiler and Lysandar recommend clearing out Inanis for any spare parts with oppositions until Magnus and Lemartes intervened and call for attack on Inanis. These were the words given by Commander Lemartes as the battle began,
"We are battered and outnumbered to take the supply base. For now, we will salvage from the scattered outposts and fight them from the shadows."
This was one of the rare moments when the Dominion have to rely on their wits and cunning against innumerable odds. Just as the rebel fleet did during the Cassian Civil War along with space pirates and Commonwealth era mutineers. And the main reason in importance of Trinity Wars in fleet history.

Story:
Inanis's orbit finally filled with the white and gold clad starships from the Dominion. All six ships came upon the isolated mines and outposts despite them being the survivors of a devastating ambush by the well-equipped Marauders. It was a fortunate moment for the battered fleet that the areas are barely defended. Then large quantities of shuttles landed to these sites to search for spare parts and supplies before reconnaisance and preparations for a new offensive to retake Trinitatis system. As the legionnaires salvaged from abandoned ship docks and eliminating small Marauder garrisons if the sites were occupied, Lemartes began to observe from the command deck with reports from various sergeants and lieutenants of their results. Brief gunfire and swordfights can be heard from few sites but those background nosies are few as only two of them are guarded. Ironically, the planet of Inanis is not strategically important planet for the operation until now after half of the initial fleet have survived the ambush. Then, one report came from a unit commanded by Captain Hika Dreadheart about the two surrendered Marauders—an Eekly and an Oghra. Lemartes ordered both of them to be questioned by any means so long as they reveal any informations of the Trinitatis system.
From what he have learned, Inanis has been given a low priority by both Marauders and Ghost House rebels since both of them have focused their defenses on their holdings on Secundus. In addition, the interrogations from the Marauders revealed that their major operations are conducted from a giant city-sized Hulk-class starship named “Coxswain's Plunder”. This intel would have aided the fleet but the number of warships were too few to make a sucessful assault to cripple the fleet. Although it would seem dishonorable, the Marauder prisoners were executed by orders of Captain Hika Dreadheart with Lemartes' final approval to prevent their escape that would expose their presence to their superiors. In addition, the Marauders tend to be the most repugnant groups for their brutality and greed with temporary “alliances” made out of self-interest. At least, Captain Dreadheart was merciful enough to anoint her blade in their blood than throwing them out of the airlock. Commander Lemartes was pleased at his operation as the site was secured without casualties and ready for its role as rallying point for future guerilla operations. The three hours operation has finally ended as the shuttles began to return with spare parts and munitions to their assigned ships. Lemartes then communicate with other commanding officers for the new orders who came to serve him since the first day of his comission.
His first priority was to get a large detailed map of current situation in Trinitatis system as it has been neglected so long until the true Emperor ascended to the throne.Only small merchant rumors and drunken pirate banters provided a vague idea of the events. It was fortunate that the fleet that was sent to retake the system has been a small portion of total deployment that will come in three months. Commander Lemartes had to provide a proper beachhead for major fleet assault before they would suffer heavy losses with current advantages that the Marauders, and possibly rebels, have in weaponry and numbers. The ad-hoc admiral of the fleet must make due with his remaining ships to cripple the enemies before the main fleet can turn the table significantly. After thinking of the stakes of the mission, Commander Lemartes open comm-link to Boiler and Lysandar for deploy their ships as scouts. While both of them are new to command, Lemartes knew that both of them are still experienced in commanding a reconnaisance without having to conduct space combat. In addition, Boiler (Lowborn acting officer) and Lysandar (an illegitimate heir with Ghost House lineage) became close acquaintances based on their treatment as outcasts despite their differences in social status. As both of their ships are escort Destroyers, they are suitable for reconnaisance based on their small size and mobility that allow them to quickly scout and run away quickly. Due to these conditions, Lemartes ordered both of the acting Captains to conduct scouting operations to Secundus and its moon named “Mons” along with reports on Pyre as secondary objective.
After the comm links with Lemartes was over, both Lysandar and Boiler ordered their destroyers to immediately move towards general location of Secundus to observe on enemy positions and possible ship numbers of both Marauders and rebels. The two Azrion-class destroyer—Lysandar's Dominus Glory and Boiler's Ravok Rage—have to avoid patrols and maneuver quickly to the planet of Secundus where they will make contact with availible loyalists resistance cells and numbers of enemy's assets on orbital docks at Mons. Although the journey was treachorous, they managed to reach to outskirt of the major object and gained encrypted messages from planet side. Lieutenant Boiler was the first one to obtained the messages and played the recordings left by the loyalists. Although the situation for the Dominion liberation fleet has been tense since the ambush, the news from the resistance did not bode well as the report suggested the Ghost House and the Marauders' warships that outnumbered their fleet. In addition, the corrupt nobles of Secundus have pressed more on patrols after they received message of the ambush from the Marauders under their pay. Not everything was hopeless for the Dominion since two Korol-class cruisers have been captured from the ambush with both their captains under imprisonment at Mons. In addition, there are research at Pyre on the new high-energy beam weapon that can destroy a capital ship in right conditions. Both Boiler and Lysandar were glad to obtain these intels and proceed to scout to Mons and later Pyre for confirmation since it might be possible that rebels may have planted false information to subvert the progress. The entire reconnaisance has been harrowing but both ships returned to their fleet with information.
Commander Augustus Lemartes observed the recordings, data, and written reports from his desk before he dismissed both Boiler and Lysander with stand by orders. This was when both acting officers began to know each other. Lt. Commander Lucifer Lysandar was born from wedlock between two naivete Highborn lovers who was raised by his maternal grandparents of House Galen with his paternal Ghost House heritage was hidden from him until revelation at age of 18. Lt. Bill Boiler came from well-off by Lowborn backgrounds who managed to receive support from a Highborn family for his higher education in officer school where he received top 20 of his class with no chance for commanding position until. Both of them decided to go to their office after the talk.

Chapter 2

Story:
After a scouting operation by Lysandar and Boiler, the officers began to conduct first part of their operation to secure a staging area before the arrival of the main fleet. Their first obstacle is the vast amounts of warships under enemy command—consisting of rebels and sellsword Marauders—which outnumber even their reinforcing fleet. The entrenched system is the second obstacle since the Trinitatis has a well-fortified starbase at Mons and a large Marauder hulk acting as headquarters for the Marauders. Finally, the current fleet assets is outgunned from the beginning since the rebels' warships are of Dominion origin and the well-funded nature of Marauders being presented through its powerful armament. The best method that Commander Augustus Lemartes decided was to launch hit-and-run tactics; however, the lack of proper logistics and heavy armaments meant that they can only do unnoticeable damage at best. Currently, the fleet's maintainence has been sustained from seizing enemy convoys and eliminating patrols. It is the time when the fleet must take actions against the heretics of Trinitatis by obtaining more assets and sow chaos among their leadership. From the analysis of reconnaisance and loyalist informants, the acting fleet commander decided to raid Mons to recapture the starships stationed in the area, which might be easy if their distraction managed to catch attention away from the real raid. Lemartes contacted Boiler and Lysandar, whom were briefed of his plans on using their ships as distraction. Despite his good intentions, Lysandar objected the plan because they won't take the risk on difficulty in survival during a possible battle and lack of armaments for self-defense against large escorts. Boiler decided to support his disagreement with addition of low morale among the crews to accept their role as baits willingly. This is when Commander Lemartes discovered a new issue: low morale. So he dismissed the two captains and thank them for the input.
Commander Augustus Lemartes then decided to conduct inspections on all six warships, both on supplies and crews. Among the inspection of the crews of each six ships, he discovered many issues pertaining to the crew. Boiler and Lysandar experienced the most problems since the former's social status and latter's mixed-Ghost House status alienated the crews, especially the Highborn officers. Pyrios' inconfidence made the entire ship idle for most of the time, which made the crews restless with lack of any orders. However, Alpharex and Victus has been the most stable of ship's morale but Victus' command might be supplanted by the less-optimal predecessor when he recovered from his wounds. He would start aiding Pyrios first since he might need to prove his ability along with clearing any doubts by his crews. Furthermore, he will be aided by Alpharex as mentor to an upcoming raid operation, which they will seize cargoes and armaments from passing ships. So Lemartes called in the three officers for briefing as a chance to help out Pyrios' crew morale as first priority. Since Alpharex and Victus are two of the most experienced officers, they would provide the fresh Pyrios with any lessons and aids he might require. Although they would object, both the Mechari and Highborn lady saluted their superior in acceptance of his option being the most favorable choice. Then Tristan's Fortitude (Alpharex), Ravok's Rage (Victus), and Unending Vigils (Pyrios) launched to the frequented raid points to start the operation.
The squadron began to hide among the asteroid fields as the convoy approaches. The ships were as usual, cargo vessels and few escorts that can be taken out with surprise. As they inspected the fleet, they discovered that a cruiser has joined in as the news of missing convoys might be reached faster than usual. While Tristan's Fortitude may have been same class as the enemy's new addition, the current status of the fleet's shortfalls mean that the casualties of the outcome is not acceptable even if they are victorious. Among the squadron, Pyrios had barely managed to maintain order among the crews who had been sluggish as they are still not satisfied with the new command. Alpharex decided that they should move the asteroid to cause panic among the convoy before taking the surviving ships out, but they realize that losing the transport might not be acceptable from the loss of its precious cargo. Then, Pyrios hail on his comrades that he might lead the escorts far enough to utilize the asteroids without hitting the transport. Pyrios may not be the courageous, but he will take risk when motivated to prove his worth to others. The ambush begin with Unending Vigils firing its missle barrages at the escorts and quickly running through the thickets. While the ship almost took a hit from Cruiser's long range fire, Pyrios' risky distraction paid off as the chasing ships began to increase its distance from the cargo ship. Then the crowded nature of thickets give Pyrios an advantage as the enemy Cruiser lost its range advantage from the asteroid obstacles. Finally, the trap was sprunge as the motors attached to asteroid blasts off towards the escorts and causing severe damage to every ships. As the ambush was occuring, the Ravok's Rage and Tristan's Fortitude captured the isolated cargo ship before moving to the ambush spot to pick off any surviving ships. The damaged ships' contents were too plundered for any spare parts and armaments. As a result of this action, a simple raiding operation made Pyrios accept his own capability and give confidence to his then-unhappy crews. When the squadron regrouped with the fleet, the escort's pilfered armaments were given to Boiler and Lysandar's ships as preparation to launch a raid on Mons' shipyard. However, there are issues on Boiler and Lysander's unruly officers and Victus' incompetant captain to be dealt with.

Chapter 3
Written by: Ferg McJinti, and Lieutenant Priscalla III Pontemlepes (“Temporary Archivist”)
Artist: Ferg McJinti
Story:
Now that the raid had allowed Pyrios to become trusted among his crews, Augustus Lemartes shift his attention to Ravok's Rage under command of Victoria Victus after the previous superior was replaced due to injuries during the ambush. Lemartes' observation on Victoria showed her competance, trustworthiness to her subordinates, and even decent treatment to grunts; all of which has been lacking for Commander Gregory Agrippa. Lemartes knew Agrippa from his time at military academy under his tutelage, which he considered it as his least favorite moment in his life. Agrippa has arrogance and anger that had been known to cause premature attacks on enemies with near-disastrous results, caustic attitude towards any-non Highborns with Lowborns in particular, and his position in the fleet based on his loyalty towards Emperor Myrcalus. This has been present during the ambush on their approach the Trinitatis system, where he was knocked down from turret fire on the ship's hull as a result of his headlong attack on nearby Marauder ship. Only with Victoria Victus' command that the destroyer withdrew to the surviving fleet rather than pointless scuttling in hopeless battle. In a simple manner, he would have the incompetant elder assasinated but this would cause negative attention by others who either support him or wanted a less-extreme solution in command structure management. It will be time until he had to transfer the command to Victoria before Agrippa recovers, which he had been close to return command sooner than expected.
In order to provide a fine cause to give command to Lt. Commander Victus, he collected statements and signatures from the crews of Ravok's Rage that ranged from lower deck crews to high-ranking Lieutenants. While the idea of giving lower ranks with avenues of their rebuttal might not be Cassian traditions of rigid structure, it did provided reasons for him to revoke Agrippa's command based as a sign of his incompetance. In addition, Victoria had also built considerable support among her junior officers to back her. All the acting fleet commander Lemartes had to do was to find a suitable position to prevent the incompetant predecessor from commiting mutiny or defection to the rebels. Lemartes then went into the infirmary and went to see Agrippa himself, which he was recognized instantly as soon as the two Highborn officers saw each other. Both of them talked about their time after academy, which Lemartes was posted as Executive Officer before gaining comission while Agrippa went on bullying the students before given command over Ravok's Rage within the Trinitatis Fleet. When Lemartes asked about his opinion on Victoria Victus, Agrippa simply responded with his lukewarm feelings and the fact that most of the burden is placed on her. This is when Lemartes provided Agrippa with the news that he is to be relegated to new position while Victus is to take command of the ship as the new captain with evidences of discontent and incompetance for his “promotion”. As a result, Agrippa walked out of infirmary in rage on his new position as part of staff for one of the supply ships. On the one hand, Agrippa may find a way to regain his position by any means necessary. On the other hand, Agrippa may have been the arrogant of ship officers but he still maintain loyalty to the Dominion.
As all of the ships had their supplies replenished and morale stabilized, the six warships and the support vessels began to relocate from Inanis system to launch a raid over the shipyard on Secundus' moon. The rag-tag Dominion fleet has expected to find heavy enemy presence but they are capable of hit-and-run tactics along with liberation of their three warships. The cruiser (Commander Alpharex), two destroyers commanded by Lysandar and Victus respectively will take the assault team while the rest (Boiler, Pyrios, and himelf) will escort the transport ship towards the orbital dock. All of the officers has been briefed, the Legionairres had their weapons readied, and spacers preparing to man the munitions. The first true battle over Trinitatis system has begun.

Chapter 4
Written by: Ferg McJinti, and Lieutenant Priscalla III Pontemlepes (“Temporary Archivist”)
Artist: Ferg McJinti
Story:
As the fleet of six warships with dozens of platoon-sized troop transports move towards the docks of Mons, the fleet began its battle by opening up a salvo of beam weaponry and missles at the surprised guard. Although the fleet seem outnumbered, the elements of surprise caught the rebels and Marauders off guard as it attempt to dodge missles and assume attack position. Despite their attempt on defending their assets, the opening salvo cripple two destroyers, cause panic among formations, and even managed to destroy an entire bridge of a Cruiser. Acting-Admiral Lemartes was impressed with the results but he knew that he had to distract them long enough to liberate ships belonging to the Dominion and the rebels along with possible crippling of Mons' orbital docks. Then, Commander Alpharex's Tristan's Fortitude launched a fighter squadron at the confused defender while the Lemartes, Boiler, and Pyrios help the transports in sneaking towards Mons' shipyard. From the battlescreen, Lemartes hope that the assault section managed to hold on as he sees the enemy fleet began to rally and plan a counter attack even with massive blow on first shot. Then a squadron of Marauder fighters spotted the transport and began to launch a strafing run. Such would be a devastation, had it not for Lemartes' quick reaction by shielding his Edge of Indominar to the transports while opening up its point defense with Pyrios' Unending Vigils and Boiler's Ravok Rage coming to his aid. The fighters were repulsed but at the price of five crews on Lemartes' ship paid to defend the vulnerable transports. As the boarding fleet engaged the dock's defense system, the transports began to move to the docks where a horde of Legionairres gorged out from the now-opened panels. As the defenders are mostly armed dockworkers, they were easily cut down and shot by the more-trained soldiers of the Dominion. Then the transmission was intercepted from the docks as the boarding team began to make their way to the docked ships. As expected, the enemy fleet realized their follies and a fraction of their defenders made the move to the docks.
Inside the docks, the Legionaires began to move quickly as they had little time to delay on recapturing two frigate and a cruiser from the ambush. As they quickly search for any possible resistance and captives, they hear the news on the incoming fleet sent to attack the raiders. Captain Dreadheart was the one leading the boarding party, who received the message and relay to the platoon leaders. Time is running out and they have yet to reach to the Brig until they met a unit of Marauders and security guards. The two boarders began to clash in close combat but the Legionaires managed to press on until they breach the lines and caused the column to rout from ferocity. Twelve soldiers were lost but they managed to reach to the brig where they reunited with bridge officers and the captain. Although all three captains survived in the ambush, they were killed in brutal interrogation by ruthless rebels for refusal to answer their questions. The prisoners were liberated and quickly boarded the starships with its way cleared. It has been half an hour for boarding party but have enough time for the ships to start up and escape. As the intercepting ships approaches, the escort fleet was ready to hold off but the timing has been right for the three ships to awaken from the tubes and began its journey with blasts of turret fire. It did not destroy the intercepting fleet but they were stalled long enough to starts its withdraw. Soon, all of the fleet make a retreat as its objective on reclaiming the ships was fulfilled.
Commander Augustus Lemartes, the acting-admiral of the fleet, assessed the results of the operation. The casualty rate has been five deaths from his ship, twelve Legionaires, and tens from the assault fleet. In addition, Alpharex's Tristan's Fortitude require a day of repairs before being combat optimal. It was not what he expected but gaining three warships for the battle fleet along with disruption of the enemy fleet was worth their sacrifices. Their current location is near Pyre, which hasn't been heavily defended for fortune's sake. For now, their attack on Mons shipyard had caused the rebels to increase their patrols and Inanis has been compromised. But he went into office where he and his officers began to talk with the new Captain, a Chua named Iji Lux. He may not be usual Captains he met, but his engineering background and astrogation skills made him a finest ship captain. Sadly, his two fellow captains hasn't been lucky from interrogation and the vacant roles had to be filled sooner.

Chapter 5
Written by: Ferg McJinti, and Lieutenant Priscalla III Pontemlepes (“Temporary Archivist”)
Artist: Ferg McJinti
Story:
Iji Lux had been rescued by the Dominion Fleet led by Augustus Lemartes during their raid on orbital docks of Mons. Their presence had been widely known and forced to abandon their positions at Inanis, which it was fortunate that they manage to take every supplies in lightly defended outposts and patrols. Now, they are now in area near Pyre that served as energy hub for Trinitatis system. With the reclamation of three warships (two frigates and one cruiser), they now have the strength to take on larger raids. In addition, they were fortunate that the incompetence of rebel leadership had deployed majority of interior defense to the now-abandoned position at Inanis, which their fruitless hunt would provide the liberation fleet with time to disrupt the defenses before the reinforcement arrive. The captains have gathered together on the flagship Tristan's Fortitude and prepare for a new priority from their acting admiral Lemartes. The paneled meeting room with a table with hologram in the center for presentation, which is to be viewed by these newly promoted Captains: Iji Lux Magnus Alpharex. Janos Pyrios, Victoria Victus, Lucifer Lysandar, Bill Boiler, and Legion Captain Hika Dreadheart; all of whom, except Iji, proven their worth on Mons orbital shipyard to gain their title as Captain. Then, Iji Lux stood up and coughed a bit before sliding in the data slate on the new plans.
Thanks to their daring raid on Mons, the loyalist cells of Secundus have gained traction against the rebel rulers of the system. Now that the fleet is in better position and the enemy fleet had stretched thin, the Dominion can establish contact with the resistance and gain a foothold on planet with aide from locals. It is decided that Hika Dreadheart and a platoon of Legionnaires would be sent to assist the rebels but they would require an accompanying fleet. This is where the Lowborn Captain—Bill Boiler—stood up and accept his role based on his ability to win the heart of commoners based on his birth and his specialty in stealth maneuver. The convening Captains accepted his volunteer but they realize that there maybe Highborn members who would not appreciate being commanded by someone of low birth. While it seems unfair for accepting demands from more-arrogant members, they are still acting as moles in administration and have hidden the dissent from the eyes of the rebel aristocrats. Victus is too vital to be sent there and Lysandar is out of question as a half-Ghost House, which leads to Janos Pyrios as second member. Though the vote was contested, the council reluctantly accept Captain Pyrios to accompany Boiler in establishing contact with the resistance. He may have gained his confidence and proven his skill in battle, but his role as a diplomat hasn't been tested so far except for his few essays on political science back in the academy. In the mean time, Augustus Lemartes began to prepare for an operation on Pyre while the troops are being sent to the major planet.
After a day-equivalent of rest, the assembled team of soldiers and Hika Dreadheart boarded the destroyer Unyielding Will with Boiler and Pyrios as the captain and liaison officer respectively. The destroyer had to cautiously and swiftly travel to Secundus. It has taken for twelve standard hours but they manage to land in the forest away from more heavily-protected urban centers. When the ship landed and the team came out, they went to the rendezvous point and met a group of Cassians. To acknowledge that they are not the rebel oppressors posing as liberation fleet, they provided news of the new emperor along with a copy of his writ to prove their true intentions. The leader of the group—a grizzled middle-aged leader with casual clothes—seem cautious and said that they were almost wiped out when they accepted a forgery decades ago. The first impression almost went sour until Boiler came out and stated that he was one of the two captains who came to receive their messages left by the group, which he thanked for the success of the raid on Mons. In addition, he also stated the phrase that the leader might be familiar with. The bearded Cassian smiles and congratulate on his recognition before asking for his name. The Lowborn replied “Boiler, sir. Captain William 'Bill' Boiler of the Azrion-Class Destroyer Unyielding Will,” which the Leader stated “Lord Jaime Leonidas, former administrator and more open-minded than my colleague” with the last part showed his lack of prejudice about Boiler's Lowborn heritage. The two groups then move to a cottage in a village where they have been planning to overthrow the remaining Ghost House rebels on Secundus as soon as news of Vorios' death was heard. However, their ill-fates had set them back and lack any windows for a major victory until now. Their current objective is to seize weapons—both small arms and heavy artillery—which they attempted to take over the armory for multiple attempts with little-to-no results. Boiler objected to the objective as futile attempt and call for intelligence gathering for location of Marauders' major stronghold, which was met with objection by another Highborn even with Leonidas' attempt at control. There, Pyrios redeemed his near-failure but mediated the argument with this statement, “Sir, as a fellow Highborn, I wish to you to accept my colleague's objection and new plan based on reasons, not birth. Just like you, both of us suffered long enough from Vorios' tyranny and this is not the time to display our social status. For the sake of the Dominion, listen to my comrade and we will help liberate this system back to the hand of Myracalus” which the dissenting Highborn agrees.

Story:
While the diplomacy team is talking with a major resistance cell, the fleet near Pyre has been planning a new offensive in Pyre orbit where they can stem the flow of energy to the rebels and Marauders' war machine. Until their reclamation of a cruiser and two frigates from Mons shipyard, the Dominion fleet had been engaging in guerrilla tactics under the leadership of Augustus Lemartes. Now, Captain Lemartes will be launching his first major offensive inside the Ghost House territories to lay a beachhead for reinforcing fleets. He observed the map around the sun-scorched planet of Pyrios, which is named after the Cassian word for “fire”. The entire orbit of the planet is dotted with solar panels and fuel cells production colonies, which is shipped to Secundus for energy needs. In addition, he had heard of a new super weapon commissioned by the rebel tyrants who wish to secure their holdings against any future liberators. As he read into any intels of varying quality, he did manage to confirm its authenticity by the fact that majority of them is connected to the Pyre's new super weapons. It had been a galactic-standard month since their fleet was ambushed by the rebels and Marauders. He felt a sense of irony that they are now living like Admiral Brightland's fleet during the Cassian Civil with little logistics support and reliance on raiding tactics. Unlike Brightland, the entire situation is different with Lemartes' loyalty to the Luminai rulers and the eventual relief by the main fleet. He began to reminisce about his time as an Ensign after his graduation from military academy. A blonde haired second son of a Highborn family with an ambition to further his prestige by enrolling into officer training. Neither did he start from scratch nor accept commission based on his birth, he chose a middle path as a cadet in the academy where he would learn to lead a unit properly before receiving a rank above non-commissioned officer. Such time he remembered being scolded by Captain Agrippa, who ironically gave him a lesson in commanding a ship if his flaws are ignored. He also gave Agrippa a command of a Frigate to satisfy his grievance for him being placed on supply ships, but the arrogant Captain was content even if his new ship will be placed on reserves. In fact, Lemartes saw a rare snicker of his slight appreciation over Lysandar's performance in Mons shipyard raid. Then, he hears a message notification from the diplomatic team on their results.
Finally, the fleet has received an intel on the new super weapons, codenamed Radiant Lance. Due to its remote location and the source coming from top-level clearance, the data is not detailed but they gained the defense in that area. The Marauders had sent six cruisers with carrier capability as a defense fleet with possible activation of the superweapon if the weapon is finished. From the scraps of information, the Radiant Lance is powered by heavy arrays of glasses that is funneled into the generator before launching a focused beam of light that can destroy an entire fleet. The entire weapons had been planned and build for twenty years but no information on its activation. Lemartes then called upon Lux, Alpharex, Lysandar, Agrippa, Victus, and Legion-Captain Dreadheart in quick meeting for a gamble to knock out the weapons along with cutting blow to Marauder's fleet.
The fleet of 9 ships—two cruisers and seven escorts—have made to the Pyre sphere where they were fortunate that the defense forces in that area had been light. However, the time is of the essence before they were recalled after their location will eventually be found out. Captain Lemartes and the captains of the fleet have to quickly retake the area along with destruction or capture the ongoing project Radiant Lance before its activation would wipe out the fleet along with any chance of bringing Trinitatis into Dominion arms. In the first wing—two cruisers led by Alpharex and Lux and two destroyers led by Lysandar and Victus—will take the main assault with a company of Legionnaire to board the giant solar cannon. To pull the assault effectively, Lemartes and Agrippa will distract the defense away from the assault group. The distraction was initiated with the destroyer and newly liberated frigate firing at the nearby Marauder defense fleet before running away from the pursuit. The bait had been caught with four carrier-cruisers give chase while two were left behind to wait until the relief arrives. The chase lasted for two hours with Lemartes' Edge of Indominar starts to get hit from fighters and turret fire. The report came on with sealed sections, crews that got sucked into space or burned, and mounting casualties. Agrippa wasn't as lucky since his ship took most of the damages and no longer combat capable as a result. As hope began to dim, Captain Lemartes began to decide on whether the ship should make a stand or try to evade. Although first option was chosen, he realized that the fleet still need their commander and decided to evade with counter attack before turning to run away. Fortune came with Agrippa who finally swallowed his pride and ram his frigate into the four Marauder cruisers before its explosion crippled most of the fighter wings and damaged four cruisers that allowed Edge of Indominar to escape. This was the moment where Lemartes saluted for his abusive and arrogant mentor who gave his life for him. Soon, the damaged Edge of Indominar returned to the site and finally saw the super weapons site captured. The assault reported moderate damages, twelve crews dead, and a fifth of Legionnaires perished in boarding actions. Although the weapon is still in construction, the sacrifice was not completely in vain as they manage to secure a spearhead for reinforcing fleet as the Radiant Lance still has its defense system online and have functional space port for repairs. In addition, the weapon will be ready to fire once it has been completed. So Lemartes went on board Tristan's Fortitude to communicate with the loyalists cell on their success.

Story:
During the assault on Radiant Lance site, the Dominion fleet attacked the now-divided defense force when four of the six Marauder defenses chased after the distraction force consisting of two ships each commanded by Lemartes and Agrippa. Although there were two cruisers as defending ships, the station opened up its defense system against the oncoming ships. Alpharex's Tristan's Fortitude and Lux's Bezgelor Finest were first to hit from the fire while shielding Victus' destroyer Ravok Rage, Lysandar's destroyer Dominus Glory, Dreadheart's Crucible Command (new Frigate acting as support vessel for Legionnaires' transports), and its accompanying boarding vessels. Alpharex' console reporting on wounded crews and structure damages while monitoring rest of the ships. Then the two destroyers and the frigate opened up a salvo of plasma batteries to the two Cruisers, which they were crippled and allow the fleet to press towards the super weapon. Hika Dreadheart lead the boarding assault as the entire contingent began to close to the orbital stations. Shuttles began to explode from direct hit but they reached the docking ports and thin areas that were rammed to create an entrace. Then, the Legionnaires began to give close quarters combat in confines of the station. It wasn't like Mons and Inanis outpost as the Marauders and few Ghost House's household units were well-equipped and even have Espers. Though the boarders took heavy tolls, they managed to break the line and caused panic among the defenders. Captain Dreadheart, who was leading the attack, look to the control center and shut the defenses off. Then Tristan's Fortitude and Bezgelor Finest boarded the station and Captain Alpharex began to assess the station. Both of them were disappointed that so many lives were sacrificed for an unfinished super weapon. Lux estimated that the weapon would be in firing stage in a few years from the data he found. Then the Chua captain realized that the entire battery system has been finished and can be used as a proper headquarters for their fleet. Suddenly, the news came from Captain Lemartes on their success but at cost of Captain Agrippa. Captain Victus wasn't that disappointed but she did have a few respect for her former superior's rare instances of humility in his final sacrifice. Then entire fleet began to refit Radiant Lance station into a proper headquarters before Captain Victus traveled to Secundus on their success.
Meanwhile on Secundus, it has been three days since the loyalist cells made contact with Dominion liberation fleet with Boiler and Pyrios. The group had provided the fleet with location of the Radiant Lance site and waited on the progess. Jaime Leonidas, the leader of the cell, decided to talk with Boiler on his story, which his sponsorship by a Highborn officer who saw his potential allowed him to become an officer in the first place. In addition, Boiler said that he is the only member in a family full of laborers and shopkeepers to have a closest equivalent to a prestigious title. Leonidas was actually impressed by Boiler's background and his relatively high-ranking position in spite of it. Leonidas explained that he used to work as an administrator in a local district for ten years before his resignation over his disgust over gross corruption and decadence of the Ghost House-backed planetary government. Although the resistance had existed from the reign of Vorios the False, his leadership and the timing on the news of the new emperor created a more formidable force. Now that they had contacted the fleet, the resistance can finally launch a first strike once they hear the news of the fleet along with parallel raid on data center that held various Marauder strongholds. Then a messenger arrived and give a note from another resistance cell to aid them in their efforts. Leonidas smiled as he gathered any capable fighters to launch an intelligence raid that can now be launched earlier with a fresh reinforcement.
Lord Jaime Leonidas, Bill Boiler, and Janos Pyrios gathered with combination of irregulars and few Legionnaires as they plan to launch a raid on the data center to gather data on enemy positions. For too long had the Ghost House aristocrats had used Marauders for their gains at the price of stability and commerce, it is time for the loyalist to commence overthrowing the remnants of the tyrant king. The raid on armory and headquarters will be done later, they need a strong knowledge on the enemy to made a strong effort against the Chaul aristocrats. At midnight, a group of capable men sneak into the buildings while dispatching or avoid patrols as they made their way into the library. Beam weapons were fired and knives were plunged, the beginning of the rebellion is slow but a uprising nonetheless. Soon they made it into library and quickly browse through terminals to seek any info on the Marauders stronghold. After breaking encryption codes, the lead hacker downloaded the data on the hard disk before heading back to the headquarters. It took four hours—two hours of infiltration and two hours of back-and-forth to the center—which the loyalists were tired but satisfied with their results. Then an hour later, the command center was visited by Captain Lemartes himself as he approached with personal news on the results of their assault on Radiant Lance. Lord Leonidas was disappointed that it was unfinished but glad that it was not a total failure. Then, he handed him the hard disk.

Chapter 8

Story:
After Lord Leonidas' resistance cell retrieved an important data from a crucial raid and a new headquarters on an almost-abandoned station near Pyre, the Dominion liberation of Trinitatis system finally made its large impact. Captain Augustus, the captain of the Destroyer Edge of Indominar and acting fleet commander, observed the terminal with the hard disk connected. He found many statistics on the system and military positions. Finally, he found the true objective when he found the general location of a Marauder hulk from a single personal message. He will launch a reconnaissance on that area for proper attack but he need to muster the combat capability of his fleet for now. He finally gained replacements for casualties from discontent populace—including some soldiers and officers—and new civilian ships that can be transformed into warships. It had been fortunate for Dominion liberation effort when the remnant fleet hadn't redeploy to Secundus and Pyre yet. However, he knew that Secundus' garrison had finally met its match when the combination of successful attack at Pyre's super weapon site, data center, and Lord Leonidas' organization skills had transformed a loose groups of malcontents into a formidable faction with few cities under its control. With the garrison either losing grounds or tied up with resistance, the response from the traitors' fleet will be slower and strength withered. In addition, the docks at Mons is still in repairs after a raid a month ago before finally becoming a contested zone between the loyalists and House remnants. Unfortunately, the new strength and advantages for current situation still holds an unknown fate for entire operation since the House fleet is still approaching from Inanis and Marauders remain strong. To gain a decisive blow, the Dominion must eliminate Marauders' stronghold and cause disarray among their ranks. As he observed, the total fighting power of the Marauders are at six cruisers with two possibly repairing after sacrifice of Agrippa's frigate caused serious damages. In addition, the Ghost House has six cruisers and 18 escorts lying at Inanis. The reinforcement will be due by tomorrow but he had to clear out the Marauders for a good fighting chance for them. Then a report arrived from reconnaissance led by Captain Boiler, who had captured a Marauder convoy along with its officer.
The location of the Marauder's stronghold is located at asteroid fields that were settled twenty years ago. Initially they were pirating unsuspecting merchant fleet before the Ghost House hired them to keep control as their own troop cannot handle unruly populace from their bad administration and the downfall of Emperor Vorios. They have received new ships and possibly new recruits as their wealth attracted their presence. The majority of their fleet are present in the area, but a destruction of the hulk will cause the death of the most powerful leader that will result in the petty warlords vying against each other in the absence of a hegemonic overlord. In an ideal situation, the current headquarters would finish the construction of Radiant Lance and fire its focused solar rays at the site. But the long construction time and known location meant that they had to make due with their eight combat capable ships supported by two improvised civilian warships. In addition, his divide-and-conquer tactic would be moot as the two ships from Pyre garrison had reported their fate and got the Hulk's fleet prepared for such a ruse. However, the Marauders did not realize the extent of Augustus Lemartes' tactical acumen. He then called a conference with his subordinates for an upcoming assault on the Marauder's fortress.
The reinforcement will arrive before twelve galactic standard hours, the Marauders at the Hulk had been arming and preparing for what they considered as futile offensive. Then, the alarms blare as the sentry spots Lemartes' fleet heading for their direction. Two cruisers from total of six at the Hulk launched to scout ahead. It then destroyed the “diversion” before reported the main fleet consisting of two cruisers, three destroyers, and 4 convoys. The Marauder fleet commander, who was at Pyre, thought that he had outsmarted a Cassian and launched a full attack at vulnerable fleet. As it approaches the main fleet from the asteroid fields, Captain Lemartes and his escort fleet (5 destroyers, and four “frigates) maneuver through the thicket since he got his opening when the dummy ships were fired upon with the main fleet being large freighters and shuttles left behind as bait. As the escort approached the undefended station, the point defense system and the fleet clashed. The more-defense capable fleet provided cover as the rest flanked and boarded the stations. In an impressive moment, a well-built cargo carrier managed to ram into the batteries before gorging out its content of well-trained Legionnaires rushing to the main firing control. Then, entire escorts joined the battle as the gun lay silent. Among them were Edge of Indominar, Unending Vigils, Ravok Rage, Dominus Glory, Unyielding Will, and Crucible Command of the main Dominion vanguard rising from its initial disaster from arrival at Inanis. Melee and close-range fire fights ensued as they approached the command deck where an explosive charge tore through the reinforced door. Then, they realized that the “boss” of the Marauder was in fact an Eeklu with a powerful espernetic power enhanced by cybernetic immortality. The first squad were cut down by psionic blade before the stunned survivors were cut down by gunfire. Even simultaneous grenade tosses wasn't enough to dislodge the leader and even drove the boarders back as the grenades repulsed by the force-field came back at the Legionnaires. Fifteen minutes had passed as the cyborg Eeklu regained the bridge, Captain Dreadheart—who was part of the boarding party—went under the service tunnel after he spotted it. Other soldiers will have notice the opening but Hika Dreadheart was the first to take advantage of it. Then she hear the closest noise of the Eeklu and his host and stuck a timed charge underneath them before crawling out quickly. Then it managed to clear out the bodyguard and wounded the Eeklu. It was enough for the Dominion boarders to launch a counter attack on the stunned Eeklu. The shield began to wither and finally Captain Dreadheart came to him with a sword blow the neck. Then, the confused voice from the main Marauder fleet came on the communication console as they were bewildered by empty ships that they destroyed. Then, voice of a Draken officer made them realized that their stronghold had been lost.
