Throughout Nexus, primarily in Aurin settlements, flyers can be found placed on public boards or hanged from low branches by a small length of grass twine. Each is hand written so the look of them varies slightly from place to place but all carry the same message.

PRESERVATION OF AURIN CULTURE NEEDS YOU!

Seeking most any form of written work from or regarding Arboria. Including but not limited to:

Cultural account: History, rituals, customs.
Informative texts: Cookbooks, hunting, botany, bestiary, etc.
Cartographic accounts: Written or drawn into map form.
Entertainment: Poetry, music, plays, dance.

If you are in possession of any of the above or something closely resembling what is being looked for, please consider making contact. We accept all donations regardless of the condition, and will be actively seeking to have damaged tomes restored. We are also willing to purchase tomes based upon their importance or condition.

If you have a tome and wish to help but do not want to give or sell it away, fear not, you can still be of great help! Contact us with the details of the text, and we can have someone hand scribe a copy with your permission.

Thank you for your time and consideration, if you've any questions feel free to contact me at the mailing address below and we can arrange to meet.

At the bottom of the flyer is a penned address for Vireo Graywind, the address itself goes to a mail depot and a small storage unit in Thayd. If one were to inquire with the depot staff, they would inform the asking party that the person who owns these generally runs a courier service for them, and lives somewhere out in Celestion.

She notices the flyer on her way home, twisting in the breeze in Sylvan Glade. Curious, she smooths the wrinkled edges of the paper, reading it over. She pauses at the bottom, an ear folding back in surprise as who had allegedly written the flyer.

"Must be for the valley," she muses to herself, freeing the flyer once more to twist in the breeze. She glances back the way she'd came before she continues on towards home.

She'd offer to help him write.

Looking at the flyer briefly, Fenyar thinks for a few moments. He had a few of the hunting texts of his people, but they were highly treasured, guarded and secret. Still, it would be against his better nature to refuse such a noble quest. He would bring this knowledge, if not cautiously.

Mandya crawls out of last night's burrow near Sylvan Glade, shaking off loose dirt and roots with a quivering stretch.
Nearing the road, a large red beetle flits from her mane, landing on a flyer pinned to a derelict fence post.
Skipping over, she kneels to inspect it.

"Niet'schta? You found some-thing?"
She reads, tapping her fingers under the current line, memorizing the texture.
Chittering her teeth, with a cheery, long chirp, she stands upright, bringing her beetle back into it's home atop her head.

"Like these, these pieces of us."
She taps a small pocket over her heart, before taking the flyer to send a letter. Once again getting off the road, begins a bee line towards the nearest mailbox.
"Niet'schta eyes always keen, cht-cht-cht."
Now to find a quill...

*When Vireo would collect his mail, he'd find a rather odd parcel; a small square, around two inches across, wrapped in leaves. A small tag reading 'To Vireo Greywind' in proper handwriting is taped on.*
*Unbinding the note, the leaves were sealed with some glutenous, tacky syrup. A silk worm would tumble out upon opening, possibly the 'adhesive' source. Inside is a tightly folded copy of one of his flyers, with drippy, erratic handwriting on the back, of varying "ink" colors.*

"To Mister Sir Ver Vireo Gre Graywind."
"Hi! I'm Mandya Concillidea!" *the name is the neatest written thing on the page*
"Turn the page; you say you want stories? We have stories. Pieces of us. Turn it back, and read the rest of us!"
"We have stories, on paper, of home, from home. You'd like a look? These words are wanting to be shared. Pictures too."
"You have a home? We do. Near Verdune. A burrow! Burrow in a hole. We all live there there. Meet us? We saw you once, the flitter brood. Said you're NICE Man."
"Be nice to Mandya, we share stories. Nice to eyes? Many eyes. We saw you once."
"Follow Ge'girda, he's blue biting beetle. Said you're nice man. Doesn't bite."

*an ink print of the belly of some sort of millipede ends the letter*

The scrap of paper, pierced by a tree branch caught his attention. It had been snagged by the ragged twig and stood out against the vivid green of the leaves. Bipin scaled the trunk with idle, ease, creeping out over the branch. The wind picked up, the paper ripped from the tip of branch. Bipin's hand snatched it out of the breezy current before it could escape. He dropped down from the tree, landing in a cloud of leaves and dirt. Carefully, he smoothed the flyer out, and scanned the words. It was incomplete. He turned it over in his hands. Bipin puzzled over it for a moment, then folded the flyer up carefully and secreted away in a pocket.

Two days Later

Bipin stood at one of the merchant's shop in the Sylvan Glade, and blinked at the flyer, attached to the wall. He removed the scrap of paper from his pocket, unfolded it and compared it to the flyer. He frowned, then smiled. He spent the day composing a letter to this Greywind, mailing it to the address indicated.

Written in painfully, precise script, as if the author was not use to scribbing letters

The sun finds you warm and the grasses tickle your toes.

Call me Bipin Thornweave, sometimes to be short is to be better, and you can call me Bip. Your flyer was trapped on a branch and I freed it. Its twin told me the entire story. I have a gift, of my mother's making, a small collection, read three books, of the Art of the Weave Dance. It holds the lessons of a martial style of my Watcher's Trust. I can not part with it. But if those who put ink to paper, or data to screen wish to clone them. I will bring them.

Voices through space are...unreliable with me but I will leave these numbers here [a comm frequency is given] But messages left at the Sylvan Glade, may reach fingers easier. [the address of a public mail box is given for the letter]

The weave wind you on smooth paths.

Good tidings Bip,

Thank you for tending to one of my lost flyers. The winds that blow through Celestion can be a bit strong at times, especially near the Godswood valley. I'll be certain to use a sturdier make of parchment in the coming days to see it's kin don't befall a similiar fate.

I am very intrigued by your offered gifts, and look forward to not only pouring over their pages but speaking with you in person. The process of copying these texts would fall on living hands, as we do not make use of "modern" machinery here within the Vale. You may entrust the texts to our safe keeping while they are scribed, though I would not force it upon you. If it would be more to your liking, we can establish a series of sessions you could bring the texts to the Vale to sit in on our scribing. This will ensure you never leave without the tomes within your possession. The well being of the texts, as is your comfort, are highly valued. I will leave the choice as well as the finer details of the arrangement to you.

You are welcome to visit the Vale whenever you please to speak on this matter further, or to simply rest from your travels, our doors remain open to you.

May the forests watch over you,

Vireo Graywind
Within the letter is a neatly penned map, devoid of most details other then obvious landmarks throughout Celestion. On the back were simple instructions how one could find the entry to Arbon Vale from Sylvan Glade and a small note to request an escort if the trip is made at night as there have been pumera issues in the area.

After finishing his hoverboard run in Celestion, Statton finds one of the fliers around the glade. He rests his board against a tree and opens up his pack. From it he pulls a notebook and pen and tears out a page. Holding the paper against the bark of a smooth tree he writes a quick note.

Vireo
I have a few maps of the area I grew up in somewhere. Nothing extraordinary just things we used everyday. I would gladly copy and send them your way. It'll just be a few days for me to make the copies by hand.
Take care,
Statton

Statton folds up the paper, addresses it and drops it off in the Glade's mailbox.

Snip.

Good tidings Statton,

Every piece of Arboria that remains is precious, no matter how big or small they may be. You need not copy them yourself however, I have a friend who works in the field, a cartographer by trade. Her name is Sevena Ashtail, and her talents in mapmaking are second to none as far as I have witnessed. She is currently working to compile a map of the whole of Arboria, so what you have to offer will be a wonderful step towards its completion.

I have no doubt she would be willing to copy over the maps for you, any cost to do so I will see is paid so you need not worry. Regardless if you choose to take on the task yourself, or seek out Ms. Ashtail, I look forward to meeting you.

May the forests watch over you,

Vireo Graywind

Snip.

Vireo,
If you don't mind, I'll copy them myself. I'm an explorer and mapmaker so don't worry yourself about quality. I would love to see a full map of Arboria. Whenever your mapmaker is finished be sure to send a copy my way.
As for meeting, I'm sure I could deliver my copies in person.
Take care,
Statton
